libamd2 software package provides approximate minimum degree ordering library for sparse matrices, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libamd2
libamd2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libamd2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libamd2 *
You will get with libamd2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
